Конференция психическое здоровье 2016

Natalya V. Treushnikova
President, Union for Mental Health of Russia

Distinguished Members of the International and Russian Organizing Committees, and the Scientific Committee,

Dear colleagues,

As you know, the III Congress on Mental Health: Meeting the Needs of the XXI Century “CHILDREN. SOCIETY. FUTURE.» was postponed to October 8-10, 2021 due to the COVID 2019 pandemic.

All obligations of the International and Russian Organizing Committees and the Scientific Committee related to the Congress are automatically transferred to these new dates.

According to the latest registration data we expect the participation of more than 1,000 medical and non-medical mental health professionals from at least 40 countries, who will share experiences and discuss approaches to solving problems in the field of mental health of children and adolescents.

Today the program of this unique international interdisciplinary scientific event presents eight scientific and practical conferences and more than thirty symposia, seminars, master classes, events of the social and cultural program. The two-volume Collection of scientific papers, published due to our obligations on 26 June 2020, covers more than 200 articles delivered by medical and non-medical specialists from more than 130 research and educational institutions located in Russia, USA, Canada, Germany, UK, Israel, Spain, Greece, Brazil, Mexica, Portugal, Thailand, Belorussia, and Kyrgyz Republic. They share the latest results of research and practical activities on a wide range of mental health problems of children and adolescents in different areas of scientific knowledge including general medicine, psychiatry, psychotherapy, psychology, social policy, education, law, economics, sports, and art and provide invaluable reference materials for researchers and practitioners.

I do believe that joint efforts of scientists and practitioners, the governments and society, with the use of interdisciplinary and intersectoral approaches, will help not only to discuss the medical and non-medical problems of child and adolescent mental health, but also to develop recommendations for their solution.

We are happy to welcome you to the Congress!

Norman Sartorius
President of the Association for the Improvement of Mental Health Programmes, Honorable Chairman of the International Organizing Committee
(Germany)

Congresses dealing with mental health are very rarely bringing together all the stakeholders of the promotion of mental health – the ministries of education, social welfare and health, the societies of professionals – psychologists, psychiatrists, educational specialists, patient and family organizations, as well as scientists and practitioners in the field of mental health from many countries. This alone should be a sufficient reason to join the congress: but there are three more – first, the focus of the congress in 2020 will be the promotion of mental health of children and adolescents whose mental health seems to have deteriorated in many countries; second, the congress also represents a step to respond to the United Nations inclusion of mental health among sustainable goals for all its members; and third, according to preliminary indications the congress will attract a highly respectable number of leading specialists involved in this field.

Please come to participate, learn from others and teach about your experience. There is little doubt about the fact that the solutions of problems related to mental health require the involvement of many professions and institutions and that networking with others of good will and knowledge is the most likely way to solve problems.

The program of the conference is already rich you can enrich it further by being present and involved. The children and adolescents of today will be responsible for the shape of mankind’s future: it is our duty to do whatever we can to help them be successful in building the world of tomorrow.

Dr Afzal Javed
President-Elect
World Psychiatric Association

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

It is a great pleasure to invite you all to the III Congress on Mental Health: Meeting the Needs of the XXI Century being held at Moscow June 26-28, 2020.

Union for Mental Health needs special appreciation for continuing with high level of educational and training programmes in the entire field of mental health. Like the previous meetings, 2020 event will be another remarkable effort with its special focus on Children, Society and Future. The theme of the Congress “Youth Mental Health and Well-being: Policy, Best Practices and Partnerships Worldwide” is of high relevance to the imperatives of our times. The future of our world is in the hands of young people and hence mental health and well-being of children and adolescents is a matter of priority for all of us.

The suggested plans for academic & clinical discussions at the meeting about prevention, promotion & interventions for mental health problems of children and adolescents will certainly lead to the timely management of such difficulties & clinical disorders in this population. It will also facilitate increase in improving social skills and personal well-being right from an early stage.

I would also like to add that World Psychiatric Association (WPA) gives a high priority to Youth Mental Health and has included this theme in WPA’s next triennium (2021-23) action plan. As WPA has endorsed this meeting as a WPA Co-sponsored meeting, we do believe that WPA’s support will add value to the future work and prove beneficial to all of us who are working for the cause and promotion of mental health.

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

The Congress on Mental Health: Meeting the Needs of the XXI Century is a unique moment where people can meet together, from different cultures, from countries with different resources, but all much involved in mental health. Unformal and free discussions are the necessary cement that put together the bricks that comes from scientific research. This congress will be the occasion to find both: friends open for discussion, and up to date scientific knowledge presented in a clear and synthetic way.

“Youth Mental Health and Well-being: Policy, Best Practices and Partnerships Worldwide”: what an important topic at a period of our history where the future of our planet is raising more and more questions. Helen Herrman
President of the World Psychiatric Association (WPA)

It is a privilege and pleasure to join the III Congress on Mental Health: Meeting the Needs of the XXI Century with the theme “Children, Society and Future” on 26-28 June 2020 in Moscow. The Congress shares with its predecessors in hosting an unprecedented gathering of leaders from medical and non-medical fields from within Russia as well as beyond with the ambition to promote mental health. This mix of capacity in mental health science, practice, policy and advocacy with leaders in government, business and community sectors across society is essential and usually missed in movements and gatherings that aim to promote mental health and extend the possibilities to prevent, treat and recover from mental ill health.

The aims of this Congress to create favorable conditions for preserving and enhancing the mental health and well-being of children and adolescents, necessary for the healthy development of families, communities and societies and the future of human civilization is especially close to my heart. As it is to the mission and actions of the World Psychiatric Association. The Association aims to increase the capacity of psychiatrists to strengthen the capacity of communities to respond to mental health needs of women, men and children, especially the children and young people in conditions of adversity.

The Congress affirms that mental health is everybody’s business. It opens a unique space marked by determination to meet mental health needs and care for the future through healthy development of the children and young people in Russia and the world. I look forward to meeting you in Moscow.

Salutation to the III Congress of Mental Health

It is a pleasure for me to salute the upcoming III Congress on Mental Health: Meeting the Needs of the XXI Century, Children, Society, and the Future, on 8-10 October 2021.

Person centered psychiatry and medicine may be traced back to how medicine was conceived and practiced in ancient civilizations and through the present time, including efforts to redress contemporary reductionist distortions in clinical medicine and public health. With a sense of paramount ethical commitment, many leaders in medicine have recognized the interdependency of science and humanism and reaffirmed a psychiatry and medicine of the person, for the person, by the person, and with the person. Recent systematic explorations of person centered care have identified as key concepts in addition to its ethical imperative: a holistic framework to understand health and illness, cultural awareness and responsiveness, a communicational and relationship focus at all levels, individualization of care, establishment of common ground among clinicians, patient and family to arrive at and formulate a joint diagnosis and shared care decisions, people-centered organization of integrated care, and person-centered health education and research.

On all of these grounds, I am enthusiastically welcoming the III Congress of Mental Health in Moscow, 2021.
